Meet the Owner

Meet the Owner
You've met my ducks and heard their quirky stories. Now I'll give you a chance to get to know me a little bit better.
The very first thing you should know about me is that I am unashamedly Christian. This means that I will stand by my beliefs until the very end even if it offends someone else. However I will never set out to argue with someone about it. I am very willing to hear someone else's view on things as long as they are willing to listen to mine. I do not say this to start a discussion or anger anyone; but just to inform you that while I have many interests in life, my first interest is my relationship with my savior, Jesus Christ.
So anyway, I’m a twenty something teacher currently in transition phase of my life. I’ve been teaching for four years. Throughout those four years, I’ve taught history, Bible, math, English, and stagecraft classes. I have a passion for Christian education and that’s the field I’ve worked in since graduating from college four years ago. Yet I also have a heart for children's ministry.  So someday you may see me working in a school or church near you.
What else should you know about me? Well, let's see. You already know that I'm quirky and a little bit insane, but also that I have a passion for teaching. I also love to help people. As most of my friends could tell you (and they keep telling me recently), I don't like having drama in my own life, but I seem to find myself wrapped up in other people's drama an awful lot. Not because I am a gossip or want to know everybody's business, but because I want to help everyone I can. So I'm willing to listen to anyone who has a problem and wants to talk. Sometimes this attitude doesn't benefit me, but hey at least I tried to help the people around me.
The last thing you should probably know about me is that I like to make up stories. This does not mean I like to lie...it means I like to write. My head is a dangerous place to get into. It is constantly weaving new tales and creating interesting characters out of the people around me. While I also dabble in poetry (you can see some of it at minicreatormysteries.blogspot.com), my passion for writing lies with stories, where you can see the background and connect with the characters. So keep your eye out for some samples of these crazy  tales that flow through my head on this blog.
I think that's all for now. You probably know me better than I do at this point. So good luck, and have a quacky day.
